Thurs 3/6

Yeah God, another good day here. Erin walked another 2 miles yesterday and is feeling good. She didn't sleep at all last night because they have her on so many fluids that she has to get up hourly. She is in bad need of some REM time. So, when we go home tomorrow she will probably sleep for 12 hours straight. Yeah, we are still on track to go home after her 11 a.m. chemo. God has been faithful to carry her through this round with little trouble. Her numbers are still good and we will pray that as they drop, she will stay free of side effects.

"O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar; You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord." Ps 139:1-4

Thank you Lord for knowing us so well. Thank you also for sending us such awesome prayer warriors!!

Have a Blessed Day, hugs, janet

EB,

I am so happy to hear that you are going to be able to go home tomorrow. What blessed news! Although I may have not posted, I have "checked up" on you everyday through your blog. I love you girl! You and your family are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. When I first heard about your Lukemia, I could only think, "Why sweet, dear Erin?" But through this time I have began to realize that God has blessed you with the right spirit and strength to conquer this disease. You have the most beautiful spirit, loving personality, and wonderful determination I have ever seen. If anyone could fight Lukemia with a smile, I know it would be you! I admire you for all that you are going through. Please know I love you so much, always keep you in my prayers, and can't wait till you beat this disease.

Good Morning Erin:

Glad to hear your Mom blame the lack of sleep on the fluids they give you. I was concerned that you might be getting up, going to a mirror, turning on a light, and searching your chin for gray hair. Relax, it usually takes five or six days for the beard to start. And about the belly... that usually doesn't start to show up noticeably for two weeks or so. It could also be blamed on the M&M intake instead of the blood. But don't cut back on the M&M's. They have proven their positive effects.

And on a side note, Ken Stewart and I are still "farther along", belly wise, than Pam. We have made a Sunday morning ritual of comparing her progress to ours. So far we are still way ahead of her. I don't know that they ever made a final decision on the baby being named Erin or Ken, Jr. yet. Still plenty of time to go.

All My Love and Prayers!
Dr. Ken.

Hi Erin! What great news to hear that you get to go home tomorrow! It will be nice to be back in your own bed and be back amongst your own stuff!

Just wanted to say yippee for you! You and the fam will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,

PS... don't forget to bring that picture of Matthew McConauhey home!! Yum! By the way, his brother's name is Rooster... just in case you were wondering. Maybe your aunt could get his autograph too! I mean how many people ask a guy named Rooster for their autograph????

Erin,

I just did a little dance for you and the wonderful news of your homecoming!!! Yip, Yip, Yipee!!! That makes me so happy for you. God is truly such an awesome God, to allow such a quick turnaround this time...He has been busy answering all the prayers going up for you, for decreased side effects and quick recovery.

It is such a beautiful day...I got to play tennis for the first time in about 4 years, and the match went on FOREVER---almost 3 hours. I'm sure I will be so sore tomorrow...we lost the match in a tie breaker--bummer!--but when I got home and got on your blog...It just made my day!

My prayers will continue for you and your family. Keep on fighting the good fight!!! And enjoy the beauty of this day!!!

Blessings girlie!!!
Linda

Erin,
I a so proud of you!!! Hey, go ahead and walk a mile for me in the a.m. ... you know before that 11a.m. dose of Chemo. Hey, way to make all of us slugs feel lousy! No, seriously, John left town for a trade show today (gone for the next 12 days. Yikes!) You are going to be my inspiration each morning to get up and do my workout even though I would rather stay in my warm bed! The kids and I will continue to pray for you all. Hey, send one up for me as I am severly out-numbered over the next week and a half! Enjoy your sleep tomorrow at home in your own bed! There's no place like home! Lots of love,
Kristie

Way to go Erin! We were so excited to hear the news that you'll be going home today. And the rain arrived just in time - what better way to spend the day in bed - just listening to the rain outside.
