Good Friday

Hello all. Erin just got back from the clinic. Her WBC was 6.5 which is normal and her ANC was 1235. WOW!! We praise God for normal numbers. So she didn't need any blood products which is awesome. She feels pretty crummy today though. She feels like she is bruised all over and she can't get comfortable. She also has hot and cold flashes at the same time. Half of her body will feel cold to the touch and the other half will be hot. Strange,but we are chalking it up to chemo side effects. The Dr said they will do another bone marrow biopsy in a week or so. At that point we hope to hear the "R" word. Then it will be time for another chemo round in 2 weeks or so. They like to give her a break to get stronger before they start again. She has 3 "consolidation" rounds to go, shorter than the first 2 rounds. The first 2 rounds were called "induction" rounds. It's all quite confusing, but hopefully effective!! Anyway, God is good ALL the time and we are looking forward to a peaceful Easter weekend. He is Risen!! God bless!! love, janet

Hello Miss Erin:

Great news on the numbers! I'm not sure about the hot/cold thing though. First, we need to locate your thermostat, then make adjustments. Also, if you're out driving around tonight come by the house. Nat and a couple of her cheer leading buddies are celebrating her birthday. Big fun and excitement!

Also, Easter is coming and I'm supposed to be helping with the family Sunday dinner. I seem to have misplaced my favorite recipe for Baked Easter Bunny Rabbit. Ask you Mom if I can borrow hers. I'll be out early in the morning hunting for the perfect bunny rabbit. If all else fails, there's always the pet store. Gotta keep it a secret though. They really don't want to know why I'm bunny rabbit shopping. Probably shouldn't tell P/A Blessing either. You know about her lack of humor sometimes...

All Our Love and Prayers!

Well, it's official...Jim got me sick! So no coming over for me to see you anytime soon...sad. :-(

But, YAY for excellent numbers!
:-) I give you an A for effort and an A for achievement. You can be on the Power Prinicpal list and everything! Anyways, have a Happy Easter with the family! Tell everyone hello for me and I love ya!

Alas, and Did My Savior Bleed!
Isaac Watts

Alas, and did my Savior bleed,
and did my Sovereign die!
Would he devote that sacred head
for sinners such as I?

Was it for crimes that I have done, he groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! Grace unknown!
And love beyond degree!

Well might the sun in darkness hide,
and shut its glories in,
when God, the mighty maker, died
for his own creature's sin.

Thus might I hide my blushing face
while his dear cross appears;
dissolve my heart in thankfulness,
and melt mine eyes to tears.

But drops of tears can ne'er repay
the debt of love I owe.
Here, Lord, I give myself away;
'tis all that I can do.

Easter love to all! Praising for your good numbers \0/ woooohoooo!
