Hey Ya'll.....Bill here,
Erin had a pretty good day and night and that's a huge praise! She still had some stomach pain but was able to eat and hold it down so that was great. Cindy and Ellen came to visit and brought Erin a huge list to hang on the wall titled "90 Fun Things To Do After Transplant." They had 17 suggestions on the list and it is up to Erin to fill in the rest of the list. We are now up to 24 and will consider any suggestions you may have for addition to the list. Li'l sis Laura came back from UGA to hang out with Erin for the afternoon and Davis also stopped by to visit, which is always a blessing. Davis added "Preach the 11:00 O'clock Service" to Erin's Fun list....not sure if Erin would put that in the fun category, but it is on the list. Since they celebrate transplants as a birthday here at the hospital, Erin got her birthday wish which was for an iPhone. It's a cool "everything in it but the kitchen sink" phone, but once again I realize how far behind the times I am when it comes to technology. I am relegated to inheriting the "outdated" stuff when the kids get the latest thing. Laura and I are now in negotiations with Erin about what is to become of her old iPod.
Erin was able to walk a few laps yesterday and we are hoping to get back in the swing with more today :))
Thanks again for the tremendous support through your prayers and encouragement...we feel so blessed to have all of you with us! Today's scripture is one of the many that are hanging on our hospital room walls which offer words of comfort:
"But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.." - Isaiah 43: 1-2
Blessings on each of you this day! -Bill

iPhone! Yes! Praying for you all.
Much Love,
Allen and Rachel Whittaker
Is the cruse on the list? You should also add camping outside of a new chick-fil-a to get free meals for an entire year. It's on a list of mine and I need a friend to come along.
Yay for iphones! You might want to set up your voicemail box on that new fancy thing. P.s. if you're looking to get rid of an ipod, I've always wanted one and I'm willing to take it off your hands ;)
Praying for you friend, and so are all my students. Love you!
Praise God for He is Good ALL the time! William and I keep Erin and the entire Blonshine in our daily prayers both in the am and in the pm.
We are praying for success for the transplant on Saturday! We also hope and pray that Erin will be home soon after and into the comforts of her home and bed as there is no place like home.
In His Love and Grace,
Kathleen and William Cotner
Hello Erin and all of you Blonshines! Yippee for the iphone. I don't know anything about them, except that they're fancy pants, so it's perfect for you, Erin! And, I hope you've added "Covering everything in Erin's room with confetti... lots and lots of sparkly shiny confetti" to your list of things to do after a transplant!! I can provide the confetti!
Well, since you have a new birthday coming up, I looked up famous (or I might should say infamous) people who share your new birthday of August 15. Here goes:
*Ben Affleck (actor) 1972
*Linda Ellerbee (Journalist and cancer survivor) 1944
*Julia Child (chef) 1912
*Edna Ferber (novelist) 1887 I had never heard of her, but I thought since you are a smarty pants lang. arts teacher that maybe you had.
*Sir Walter Scott (writer) 1771
*Napolean Bonaprte (Emporer of France) 1769
Anyway, we love you and are thinking of and praying for Erin in the green shirt constantly!
Pam
We'r praying for you and can't wait to hear that sermon...it's got to be the 9:30 service though...I don't do the 11:00!
Love you bunches!

Hmmm...we'll have to put some thought in to that fun things to do list. So many possibilities!
Although you could probably fill up the whole list with just things you could do with your new iPhone from what I hear about them.
We are prayerfully anticipating the transplant tomorrow. We are with you sweet Erin in our hearts, and pray that you can feel it.
How about a trip to DC for your list:)
Praying for your birthday tomorrow and for new healthy cells and that you have minimal discomfort through the whole process.
Love, Brittany
Erin and family - We are checking on your daily progress and praying for this time to pass quickly for you.We are also praying for a smooth transplant day and that you have just the right amount of GVH. Megan says not to forget about dilaudid and that she hopes you have requested what balloons you want for your new birthday and what design they should be in!Keep up the good work! Hugs and Prayers- Margaret
Happy Birthday Eve! I think I have some confetti I could pull out for a celebration! (There might at an app for that-you should check and see!) You will be in our prayers all day. We love you dearly. What an exciting day. Praise God for doctors, nurses and donors. We truly live in an amazing time when someone half way around the world can share life with you.
you'll so love playing with your iphone...

Rest tonight, 4 joy comes in the morning!!!
"We continually ask God to fill Erin and her family with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives." Col 1:91
Yay! Welcome to the iPhone club! You will love it! I'll be praying for you tomorrow and thinking of you when I get up at 7am for my Team in Training run! We all miss you so much at school; as soon as you're feeling better and I'm allowed, I'll be coming to visit.
PS: Apps you need are Facebook (obviously), TMZ, a crossword one, and the game Subway. Maybe a random cool facts one too.
I agree with Brittany that one of the things you should add to the list is a trip to D.C....maybe our trip we never took up there together! :-) I'm all for it!
I also think you should add that you write your book- a must read, best seller! I can feel it.
I love you and will be checking on you tomorrow. Praying at 9am specifically for you and your transplant...just remember what CMJ always says..."It'll be ok."
-Monica
