Good Morning Prayer Warriors, WooHoo for Day 11!! Erin's WBC is 1.4 today which is more than double yesterday. Grafting is happening!! Thank you Lord!! Erin still has not swallowed anything but I am very hopeful for today. She walked 5 laps yesterday. It took all her willpower! She had a blue kind of day. I can't decide which med is causing that but I can't take it!! She has been so positive until now. But then again, if I missed 6 days of eating and drinking, I would be bummed too!! So please pray for her spirits to soar like her numbers are. They are cutting down her pain med some today so maybe she will be more alert and able to participate in her care. She really has slept 95% of the last 4 days. I think that is an answer to her prayer though. She told me she just wanted to wake up when it is all over. And I don't blame her. But today is a new day and we have healing to do, laps to walk, water to drink and grafting to happen. Praising God that His mercies are new every morning!! Thanks for the prayers. Please keep them up. blessings, janet
"O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you." Psalm 63:1-5

So now you have proof - LA teachers can't spell - You are the most courageous youngster I have EVER known!
Precious Lord, We thank you for the soaring numbers. I am boldy asking that they increase exponentially over the coming days. Help precious Erin find her peace in joy amongst this and hold her parents in the palm of your hand. In your most holy name, I pray, Amen. -Tracy
So thankful for those numbers!! Erin, you are so strong and I admire your strength and courage. Keep walking those laps!!
Erin,
Get that over achiever into overdrive and keep those numbers rising!!
I want to pass along one of my favorite sayings that I think may apply here - "You don't have to WANT to do it for it to work!" It can be used for so many things. So even though you don't want to do the laps (who would) or swallow the water . . . You know the rest.
Love you girl and still praying!

PS the word verification below this message is Erlin. Someone just doesn't know how to spell your name I guess.

Praise God for the positive progress...we will keep praying. You are such an inspiration...keep up the good work (the "strong and courageous" part especially). I keep thinking in my head, "graft, baby, graft" and feel a song coming on...don't you think it would make a good song?
I came across a website today that I thought was a cool idea to raise money for cancer. I sent it to Tyler as an idea for his Relay For Life efforts. If you have a minute, check it out: www.beboldbebald.org (and everyone else reading this blog...it may be something you want to participate in).
Hang in there, Blonshines! We love you all.

The passage you posted from Psalm 63 is one that SAO sisters are very familiar with. We recited that passage after chatper every week for a whole semester!
It's sooo true! How much we have to praise him for- for improving numbers and the grafting that is taking place!
We love you Erin! We continually pray for you and praise God for the work he is doing in you!
