Happy Sabbath Dear Ones, thanks for the prayers. We are plugging along here day by day by the grace of God. I don't know how these patients do this! Hopefully Erin won't remember this week when it's all over. It has been so hard on her. She had another fitful night, lots of vomiting and pain. The only med they found to control her vomiting is a pill and she can't swallow, so she just throws up every time she gets up to the bathroom. Isn't that pleasant to hear about first thing in the morning? Sorry, it is just our reality right now. I forgot to tell you she spiked a temp on friday so they did a chest X-ray and added 2 more antibiotics to her list. The x-ray came back fine. Sometimes the chemo meds reek havoc with your thermostat. Most times they never pinpoint a cause of the fever. Anyway, we are just praying these days pass quickly so she can breathe normally and eat and drink.
On the bright side, Erin is still funny and charming in her Dilaudid fog. She was pretty delirious all day yesterday and last night. They are turning down her PCA a bit today so she can come back to normal a little. It is a difficult balance. Please pray for pain relief, no nausea and of course complete healing. Our perspectives are forever changed by this journey and for that we are grateful. We hope this glimpse into our lives has blessed you with a new perspective as well. God is faithful to walk with us in good times and in bad. We will never take that for granted again. Thanks be to God! love, janet

Oh how we appreciate those glimpses. When 1 of us is suffering, we all suffer together-that is what the Body of Christ is for. If you don't share the nitty gritty with us, we miss an opportunity to love on you and lift you up. I look forward to the time when this is past and I see your shining faces in the pews. We love you and pray without ceasing.
Oh, and a fun thing to add to the list- try every flavor of Bruster's Ice Cream!
perhaps a compounding pharmacy could create a liquid version of the anti-nausea pill. you've probably thought of this.
I think we all thank you for bringing us into your world and for the lessons and insight you're giving all of us, every day, through the true reality of this frightful ordeal.
we are praying and sending love vibes.
I love Lisa's suggestion! I will gladly help with that one! :-)
Praying without ceasing...love you bunches!
I appreciate your giving us a window into your world right now. And, it does change my perspective. I think of Erin so often and wonder why she must suffer like this. But your faithful examples remind me of our Father's love and grace and mercy. And, I know he is with her, strengthening her, and healing her all for his glory.
Praying for relief and complete healing for my precious friend.
I'm convinced that God is using Erin's struggles to change us all! Thank you for keeping us "in the loop", so we'll know how and what to pray for. We love you guys. Aunt Debbie
Praying for relief!
Hi Erin,
You know what I just realized? Your 2nd Birthday (Aug 15) is only a day away from your half birthday (Aug 14). Just something I thought you might find interesting :). I'm sorry to hear you're not feeeling so hot right now. Please tell your family to give you a big hug for me. I'm praying that you will be back to your spunky self in no time!! And as far the list goes... I second Jenna's notion of adding the cruise to the list and you should also add skiing in Michigan :)! Love you and am praying for you always.

I so respect your will to fight, Erin! We are thinking about you a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot up here in Athens. Thank you so much for all of your help over the years--I don't think I can begin to explain how much I look up to you. There is a bed waiting here for you when you get better. I miss you dear friend!
Love,
Melissa Hinesley
I think we should add a "major" hangman tournament for Erin, the youth and counselors...raising money for the Lymphoma Society and/or Research...getting extra dollars if you use your feet!!

Hey Blonshines,
Thanks for the reminder about perspective. God truly does make all things work for good for those who love him. We trust him, though we don't understand why this is the way it is for Erin right now. We have faith, but we sure don't like it a single bit for her to have to have even one day like today. And still, we know he is mighty to save.
Love,
The Stills
Hey Blonshines! Been thinking about you a lot today, praying for relief for Erin. Add to your list instead of a Blonshine/Reonas dinner, let's do something totally random, take a picnic and go fishin'! So, that will be our plan! I just pray that you will soon begin to see less side effects and began to gain your strength. You are amazing Erin. Love you.
Sweet Erin
My heart aches for all of you, and we are praying unceasingly. I have something for your mom to read to you tomorrow (cuz hopefully you are sleeping right now). Read 2 Chronicles 20:1-30. Pay special attention to these verses:
*12 We have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us, but our eyes are on you.
*15 The battle is not yours, but God's.
*17 Take positions, stand firm, and see the deliverance the Lord will give you.
*21 Give thanks to the Lord, for his love endures forever.
*30 the kingdom was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.
Erin, you are in the heat of the battle, but take heart, stand firm, and know that we are walking ahead of you praising our loving, caring, healing, comforting, creator God. He WILL deliver you and provide rest on EVERY side. We love you!
Good Morning Ms Erin,
Sorry to keep reading about these moments of nausea and pain. My heart goes out to you. I continue to pray for your healing. Know that you are loved and prayed for by many people. Tell Family it is a ditto on their part,
"May the Lord bless You and keep you;
May the the Lord make his face to shine upon you nd be gracious to you.
May the Lord show his countenance upon you and give you peace."
In Christ's Love,
Mr Hanley
