Good Morning Prayer Warriors, Thanks for all your prayers. We are in a bit of a low this morning. All the IV meds Erin has been taking were converted to pills yesterday and she has thrown them up twice. She also still has a lot of stomach pain so we are converting back to IVs and adding TPN, which is food, through her IV. She hasn;t eaten more than a bite of anything in 9-10 days. I am praying this will turn things around for her. Her GI system needs some rest, but her body needs food. They were hoping we would go home early this week but now I doubt it. Erin needs to be able to eat well and take pills before we go anywhere. She still has not had the MRI of her liver. It is to be done today but the results won't be in until Monday. Please pray for good results. VOD is a possiblilty we don't want to tangle with. She has been through enough and we want to avoid any other complications. On the positive side, her WBC is 4.4 today which means her donor cells are doing their thing!! Graft baby graft!! Also Erin walked 5 laps yesterday and has already done 3 laps today because Amanda forced her at 6 a.m. Go sis! We are thankful for Erin's progress and are eagerly anticipating more healing! So please help us out with some serious prayer time. We are overwhelmed. blessings, janet
"Hear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you. Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I call to you all day long. Bring joy to your servant, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul." Psalm 86:1-4

Hey Sweet Erin,
What a bummer that going home looks like it got delayed--more waiting :( But you know what. . . I spent the morning listening to the Beth Moore simulcast at church, and one of things she talked about is the fact that even when we are "waiting", God is working. Even though we may be blind to it, God is busy, well in control of things, and constantly working for us. Don't despair Blonshine's--God wants the day you go home to be the most glorious of days, and He has more work to do before that. Rest in His peace knowing that He is preparing the Best way for you. His love is BIGGER than any imagination can fathom.
Another thought Beth shared is that waiting is anxious expectation. The Hebrew word for that means to jump, twist and twirl. You know how you just have to dance around and move to get out all the anxious thoughts? There is your assignment for the day--during your remaining laps jump, twirl, twist, shout, clap, etc. to get all of your anxious expectation out. You will all feel so much better (and you will really make the nurses think you've lost your mind.) We will "wait" in constant prayer for all of you. We love you!
Praying for everything 'overwhelming' to be washed away as you dance IN delight...SHARING THE JOY OF THE LORD (like Cindy said).
God has done miracles and He WILL BE doing more while you're completing your new list :)
1 Thess. 5:14
"...reach out for the exhausted, pulling them to their feet. Be patient with each person, attentive to individual needs."
We pray with you for the healing that is needed to take place in Erin's body, for her liver to be healthy, for pills to stay put and hunger and eating to return. We pray that you may all never waiver in keeping your eyes steadfast on God as the guiding light to get you through. You have taught so many how to do that, and we hold you up through prayer to continue. Much love,
The Stills
of course you're all a bit low -- what an understatement! all of you have been expending so much energy, working so incredibly hard, beyond the levels that most of us can only imagine.
naturally, you're going to feel depleted from time to time in mind, body and spirit. you know that you all need nourishment, and God will help you find it. I believe He feels you deserve a small rest right now. I recommend a good, cleansing cry and a hot fudge sundae.
the prayer warriors are On The Case. We never forget you, we pray all day and all night. Really, you're never alone.
Praise for the great WBC count! It's on the low end of normal! I am reading this book called "You're Late Again,Lord" and it talks about purposeful waiting, and how it's so hard to wait on God's time. But we know His time is perfect(just look at Sarah! We felt like we waited forever!) But in the end it was perfect. Continuing to lift Erin up in prayer for pain to be controlled and a clean MRI. We love you all!
Love,
The Blonshines
Praying. Hugsssssss.
Abba Father,
I thank you and praise you for the miracle you are performing in Erin's body. I am so thankful for the grafting, the knowledge that you give talented scientist and doctors. I know you have awesome plans for Erin and I ask you to help her rest in those during these rough times. Please give her weary heart and her families weary hearts a double portion of your mercy. Give them all strength to get through this hour, this day, and this week. Bless them and keep them in the palm of your hand. Amen. -Tracy
Just want you to know that I am praying without ceasing for comfort and peace for all of you. -Tracy Bishop
Dr/Nurse Aunt Debbie thinks; It may have been a little premature for the Doc's to put Erin on pills, when she hasn't been eating! TPN was a good idea to start, the medical profession is a little slow in remembering that the body needs food to survive and heal! Everything is by God's timing and maybe God is saying to the Doctors to slow down, don't be in a hurry to send Erin home, she's been through a lot and needs time to heal.
Erin you are soooo special to all of us and I feel sure you must hold a special place in God's heart! Sit back relax because your "Dad" has everything under control. Love ya bunches and will pray overtime for you and the family. Aunt Debbie
