Dear Prayer Warriors, thanks for the ideas for the list. You all are inspired. Erin will have many wonderful things to look forward to when she is able to play. We are praising God right along with you that Erin has maintained her sense of humor. She played hangman last night by using sign language. Actually at one point, Amanda had her writing the letters with her foot. Erin still can't talk or swallow or breathe with her mouth shut, but she still loves a good game of hangman. She watched alot of Wheel of Fortune during her recovery last year and she is pretty good. She might even beat Cioffi.
She spent a fairly miserable night trying to sleep sitting up so she could breathe. Ever had one of those nights when you had a head cold and couldn't breathe? That explains this week for Erin. She also had an episode last night that almost made Amanda pass out. They ended up giving Erin platelets in the middle of the night because of it. She will also need blood today. Please pray for the generous spirit of all the blood donors out there. All these patients completely rely on their donations. Last year Erin had 40 transfusions. This year she will get lots more. Our family made it their goal to give back as many pints as Erin received. That seemed like such a reachable goal, but now I don't know if we can ever give that much!
Today we are thanking God for you, for laughter, for selfless blood donors, and for our hope for the future through Jesus. We are blessed! May you be blessed as well. janet

I have one for 90 Fun things to Do After Transplant: Erin and the whole tribe come to Clearwater for a sail in the Gulf of Mexico -- I'm thinking spring 2010 will be just perfect for that one!
forever praying for you all,
love,
Linda
Thank God for sisters to play games with and be there all night. What supportive and loving girls those three Blonshine sisters are; a blessing to each other I know and a blessing to all of us who get to know them and see their unconditional love for each other. Yay Amanda and Laura!!!!!!! You are incredible, and just what/who Erin needs you to be.
Love,
The Stills
I donate 6 times per year and each donation helps 3 people (per the American Red Cross), that's 18 people per year that I help! I am sure your family will donate what Erin has used and will need during the next year, many times over.
An idea for your 90 Fun Things..........Go as a family to every home game for an entire season for the best football team around.......the Bulldogs! GO DAWGS!!!
You should add Erin going onto Wheel of Fortune to the list!
I love you all. You're in my prayers constantly. God is at work!
Since we're all family, count our blood donations as pay back too. Maybe your Church could have another blood drive this fall? The last drive seemed to have a great turnout.
For Erin's dry/irritated throat maybe you could suggest to the nurses/doctors to try some humidified 02, via a face mask. That cool mist can be very soothing and help reduce inflammation.
I'm going to kick it up a notch in my conversations with God.
Love ya! Aunt Deb
Obviously -dance classes- Dancing with the Stars-on the floor instead of in the audience. Of course- Lake Burton-always open to you and your family.
You are on our minds daily.
Love , Kurt and Lane
I must say that I feel you right not about not being able to sleep. I have a cold/allergies and I can't sleep unless I'm sitting up either. And it's very difficult to sleep. I have found that lots of rest- watching movies & doing nothing all day- has helped. My husband has been waiting on me while I've been sick...milking it for all its worth!
Anyways, I love you! i hope you're resting and earning your cards. I want to visit but I'm not because of the snotty-nosed students I have who give me their germs. They do love to share! Just know that I'm thinking of you everyday and that I love you (and miss you) every day.

P.S. Jim loves the Goonies for a good laugh.
I must add 2 more to the list of 90fun things to do. After last week, the overwhelming request of the church is to not only have Erin preach 11 am service, but also 8 and 9:30. We're praying for you daily, and will see you soon!
Grace & Peace,
Davis, Sherre, Andrew & Hailey Chappell
