BIG NEWS!! God is Faithful, and your prayers helped!!! The Dr just came in and told us Erin doesn't have any Leukemic cells in her blood as of today; No blasts (the technical term). Anyway he said that is on schedule or a little ahead of schedule. The way I understand it, we are looking for a 3 part process for "remission" 1. no leukemia in the blood. 2. no leukemia in the marrow, we check that next week. 3. no leukemia in the marrow after her blood counts have recovered to normal levels, we will check that in a couple weeks. even if she is in remission at that time, which is certainly the goal, they will proceed with the 2nd round of chemo and the rest of the protocol. God is Good and we are thrilled to have good news. You are all a vital part of the team and now that our team is in the lead we need to press on toward the goal!! Keep praying!! Go Team!! Blondshine's - Fabulous news!! I was just praying for Erin and since I hadn't checked the site today, I stopped to check the update. God is good - ALL THE TIME! Praise him for the good news. Prayer is a powerful weapon and with all the worldwide prayers going up everyday for Erin, God has been hearing her name 24 hours a day and just has been overwhelmed with the prayer warriors you have praying for you. I already checked the blog earlier today and just felt like I was suppose to check it again. I find myself with tear once again during this journey, but this time they are tears of Joy! Praise the Lord, He is Good and Faithful! I will continue to pray for good reports and strength. I love you all and I am happy to be on your team!

Praise God for the continued good news! We WON'T stop praying and will ask for His mercy for the upcoming week or two as you fight the after-effects from the chemo. And for the Blonshine family as you help Erin through it. Stay strong together and love one another.

I found a Facebook group about Erin and read all the blog entries. I'm from Kennesaw and am so glad she is at Emory. What a fantastic hospital! I work in clinical trials now and know how stressful that can be at times. I will pray for Erin as well as your family and know the Ultimate Physician will provide a quick transition into a solid remission. I will provide my diligent prayer from Kennesaw.

girl i am so proud of you. It is good to hear good news and that the power and love of God surrounds you and your family. my grandmother is fighting colon cancer right now so I understand your struggle. just keep fighting. I saw you in those cardio kick classes years ago and know you know how to kick butt. baby jacob and i are in your corner. we pray for you every night before we go to bed. keep up the good work!
