God is GREAT!! Last night Erin finished her 21 laps after I had posted the update.
She had a good night. They stopped taking blood from her arm and are now down to once a week peripheral sticks. The other blood draws are done from her central line, although it is still at 0400 in the morning!! Today her platelets are 6. We just got back from a walk to the gift shop. I told her it counts for 6 laps, she said it had to be 10. She got a nose bleed though so shopping wasn't fun. They are going to give her blood and platelets today, that should stop the nose bleeds. Generally though her appetite is fine, just picky!! Thanks for all your prayers and God's faithfulness. Keep praying!! Thanks to Jenna, Erin is being prayed for in China!!

Oh yeah I am the first comment of the day!

So Erin, my students - all juniors and seniors - have all prayed for you in the last two days. And we will continue to do so all the way through this battle you are fighting. We are also praying for Bill, Janet, Amanda, Kyle and Laura!

Way to go on the laps... maybe I should do the same. :)

Love,
Sarah Foster

GOD’S HEALING

When God comes to heal us
It’s final and complete
There is nothing that is lacking
When He meets us in our need

Whether it be in our body
Or the hurt within our soul
He will touch the point of need
And will truly make us whole

His healing is there for you, Erin
Just receive it from the Lord
Always believe upon the living word
That you can be restored

Whenever you feel weakness
He is all the strength you need
And He will gently lead you through
By prayers, love, and your precious family/friends, you see.

It’s so important to commit each day
Into the care of the Lord
So we can walk more victoriously
Than how we had walked before

The enemy tries to get a foothold
In every little way he can
We must be aware of his evil tactics
And refuse to give in to his plans

For we have Christ Jesus in our lives
And the power to overcome
As we keep praying and standing firm
All your battles shall be won

May God watch over you
as your body starts to heal.
May your years be long and plenty
and happiness so real.

May your smiles in the future
be many long and wide,
And having comfort of knowing
We were all on your side.

May the pain be gone forever
and everyone remember to see,
How brave and courageous you are Erin,
For you will have won the victory!

Lots of Love
~A

Hi Erin,
Sounds like you are fighting like a true warrior. All those laps....you go girl!!!! I'm with you though, sure seems like the gift shop should be worth alot more than 6 laps. Nothing like little shopping to lift a girl's spirit :)

I was reading my bible today and came across scripture that I had underlined in the past. It spoke to me then, and now.

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
- Hebrews 4:16

Don't be afraid to pray boldly for yourself, sweet Erin. God wants us to come to Him just like a child comes to his father. Natalie and I continue to pray for you and your family.

Love, Prayers and Blessings,
Janice and Natalie Lutz

Good Evening Miss Erin,

Again, good news and bad news. For the good news, prayers are being answered as we hear of your improvement. Very Good News! And the Spring Break plans are going "OK". Sorta good news. Which leads to the bad news. Dr. Butz is determined to pilot the escape chopper. I know... more scared than ever, aren't you. He learned that the three main controls are the cyclic stick, the pedals and the collective stick. Then he mentioned that a cyclic and pedals reminded him of a bicycle. And assumed that a collective stick had to resemble something you would hold a collection plate with in Church??!! When I reminded him that he still hadn't learned how to program and operate all the features on his new car, which he can stop and get out of at any time, he just laughed and said "Good Times, Good Times". Then he mentioned that if he had to, he knew someone that could fly the chopper, so long as the guy could be found sober and out of jail. You didn't happen to spot the landing pad while you were off shopping, did you? It might turn out to be the last place you'll want to go. But no worries. We have plenty of time to get this plan together.

Continued Prayers and Love,
Dr. Ken, Angela, Nic & Nat.

Sounds like things are going well. Awesome! Nose bleeds are definitely from the shopping. I get them all the time when I got shopping as well as everything else imaginable. Stay away from the stores.

Just wanted to drop a note and pick some fun at you. We are still praying for you on this end and expecting great things.

I gave you Dad some homework the other night. I trust he did it. You should know if he did!

SMILE!!!

In Christ,

Mr Hanley

Hi Erin... I get those nose bleeds too while shopping but it's usually from Jan punching me out when I tell her it's time to go home... You continue to be in my prayers everyday. I'm up here in cold and wet Bethesda, MD tonight... I thought while I was up here I'd pray for God's healing touch for you because up here a lot of people pray... and all around town you will hear people praying aloud...I hear them praying "Oh Lord, please make Hillary our next president!" I'm trying to counter those prayers with a few of my own... (Thankfully, God is a Republican.) Next time I come up to visit, I'll do laps with you. Love you!- Ciro

Blonshines...You are prayed for throughout the day...especially in our family prayer time at night! Janet, I'll always claim that you were the first loving face that my children saw in this world...much more pleasant memory than that of Dr. Freeman's! You are all special to us and we are praying for you continuously. I hope you got the kids' artwork. Luke and Aaron still have a cough and probably will until early summer! Otherwise, John wanted to hop in the car and be there on New Year's Eve when we got the news. Just know that we all send our love and an occasional call through to your pager. Thank you so much for the updates. You're on my favorites and Aaron and I check in several times a day. Give each other a hug from all of us.
Love to all,
The Chamlees
