Happy April Fool's Day!!
Erin is feeling good today except for her biopsy spot. She is very sore there and has to move slowly. We give thanks to God that He is seeing her through all these uncomfortable procedures with grace. She really is so good about going through all this. It is amazing what you can get used to under these conditions. She is still enjoying her break, going out with friends and feeling a little bit normal.
Erin and I were talking about trust this morning and about how this experience has shaped our faith and our trust in God. What do people do without faith? What do they cling to? We can't cling to science, there are no guarantees there. We can't cling to our families, they are as desperate for strength as we are. How can we not see the love of God all around us, providing for us and strengthening us? Praise God that He gave us faith to carry us along this road, because without it we would be lost. We find that this experience has really opened our eyes to the details of our beliefs, and the details of God's provision. A day doesn't go by without some reflection on faith and our trust in God.
"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things-and the things that are not-to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God-that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."" 1 Corinthians 1: 27-31
"He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe." Proverbs 28:26
"The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watches over all who love him" Psalm 145:17-20

Janet, thanks for being such a bold witness. It is expecially awesome knowing that you speak not only as a Mom but as a nurse that you trust God and lean on his word. The question is not so much what do others do without faith as what do others have to look forward to? Where is their hope? As for us...we will follow the LORD. Amen? Amen!!!

Thank you for allowing us to share in this journey with you! It was a pure testimony to God's provision to see and hug Erin at church Sunday morning! It was a blessing for our children to see THEIR prayers being answered in Erin's healing! Thank you for letting us in and allowing us to grow through this too! What a wonderful example you all have been! Don't worry, the prayers are still comming! We await more good news this week!

Hello Miss Erin:
It was good seeing you at the Campground Sunday night and at the Church tonight! Back around the kids is where you belong, and where I know you want to be. The M&M therapy has done wonders for you. You're looking great! Just go to the new "drugstore" when you need a dose. And for the record, I'm not buying the "not going on spring break" nonsense your Mom mentioned. I think she was a day early for the April Fools joke. Until Dr. Butz and I arrive in Florida without you, all things are possible.
Thanks again for calling Ted Peterson and wishing him a Happy 60th Birthday. He does enjoy the attention on this special day. In fact, anyone reading this that knows Ted should give him a call and congratulate him for hitting this big milestone. He doesn't look too bad for 60. Maybe he's doing a little M&M therapy on his own.

It's amazing how God uses the 'weak' as a rock for the 'strong.' To give them strength, hope and humility. For those who are 'weak' physically but 'strong' in Faith are a beacon of light for others seeking Christ. Erin, you are a fountain of Gods love for us through Christ which flows in every direction. Thank you (and family) for your dedication to the Lord.

I have to agree with Florence -- following your journey and hearing how He has been with you since Day 1 has definitely strengthen my Faith as well as my Hope. You and your family are such an inspiration and for those who do not believe or trust in the Lord really need to spend time with you and your family because if they were to do that then they would change their minds about there not being a God and would in turn believe and trust in Him.
Thank you for the inspiration and thank you for demonstrating what real strength and faith is all about.
