Wed 2/27
Well. we just got home from another trip to Emory. Good news is that her labs are up. WBC 2.2 and ANC 1166. Bad news is they have no rooms. So they said they would call in the next day or 2 to get us in to start round 2. We praise God for the numbers and for the room He will provide. It gives us peace of mind to know she is now ready. We will just sit and wait for the phone to ring. So thanks for the prayers that have gotten us this far. Please keep them up, we ask for decreased side effects, complete remission and inner strength. We love you all for your faithfulness. God is so good to give you to us!! hugs, janet

Yeah for good numbers! I think you were right...God just wanted to keep you home for that prayer service! What a blessing! I pray that you will get in there quickly and breeze through these treatments. Your attitude is an inspiration to us all! Continue to look for God in all situations and His light will outshine all the bad! Lots of hugs...

Today's STREAMS IN THE DESERT scripture was Genesis 32:24 (Jacob was alone...and wrestled throughout the night with God "until daybreak"...then Jacob "expected a blessing".
Jacob/Israel moved on with a new attitude, a new expectancy, saying, "I saw God face-to-face and lived to tell the story!". Don't you know family and friends asked about his limp? He gave him an avenue for testimony.
God longs to be alone with us... we might wrestle with Him for a while; however, His promises say "He will not leave us nor forsake us." He wants to bless us with THE BEST (from His point of view). We, like Jacob/Israel will be blessed in a special way when we spend time with him then we will continue on to "tell the story".
While on the mountain at Lake Junaluska during Women's Retreat this weekend, we'll be lifting ya'll up expecting God's blessings as you are in your own fight.

My Dearest Erin and family,
Yay that the numbers are up! God is so funny isn't He?!?!! I will never be able to understand His ways, but I do know that He has amazing timing! And so though there is no room in the inn/hospital, I am sure God is up to some great things in the process! Psalm 27: 13-14 says "I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Erin I pray that God will show you that extra goodness for waiting for His timing and trusting Him for His best. I am so amazed by you and your family. I know that this has got to be so hard, but you all keep trucking through it, trusting the Lord for provision for the next day! Praise God that your love for the Lord can inspire and encourage so many others to follow Him closer and truer and deeper than they did before. I love you all and pray for you often!

We are praying with renewed fervor as you prepare for round two....that your numbers continue to increase, and that Lord prepares you for the physical and emotional challenges that lie ahead after this respite at home. Minimal side effects and complete remission! We are praying...
Love, the Stills
So glad to hear it! You are in our prayers daily!

United we pray for all of your requests. Praise God for the great numbers.

Praise God for higher counts! I always hate to hear that the hospital is full--it means there are too many people going through the same thing you are. Erin, you are such an inspiration to all of us, and I know you will be to all of those on your floor at Emory too. Your strength encourages all of us in our walk, and your trust in His timing reminds us of His care for every detail of our lives. Thank you for helping all of us accept that God is in control and to live that in our daily lives. Look at you, even when you are off-duty you are still teaching. We love you, sweet girl, and will be praying for remission and lots fewer side effects this time.

Lord, bless our precious Erin this morning...Father, provide a bed for her that she may get started on her second round...and Lord, let Your Mighty hand stay the side effects...Lord, we ask that YOU would keep them at bay...minimized...Lord, that as she takes on this next round that she finds in herself renewed strength that she never knew she could have....Lord, bless her with patience...with Your perfect peace....and with a resounding joy in her heart....at the sight of what YOU are doing in her.....Lord, continue to be with her family...as they surround her in this time....strengthen their hearts and minds as well.....that they are able to comfort her and support her.....Lord, continue to send them our love, as we try to surround them with the love that YOU have given to us as their brothers and sisters.........Father, ......let us see the might of YOUR hand again in this family....Father, let us hear the doctors announce remission....let us join together in joy as we praise YOU LORD for all that is happening with them now.......IN JESUS' MIGHTY NAME....AMEN.....
