2/13
Good afternoon, we just got back from Emory. Erin had her labs, saw a PA, and got her bone marrow biopsy. Her WBCs were only 1.1, very disappointing after a week at home. We were really hoping for higher numbers especially since she has been feeling so good at home. Anyway, God knows the plans He has for her and we trust Him with everything!!! Her biopsy went well and we should have results by fri or monday. They want her to check back into the hospital on Tues to start the 2nd round of chemo. We didn't actually tell them our bags were packed and in the trunk. Ever the Girl Scouts. Please pray for Erin's spirits, she is so upset by the low numbers. And since they didn't come up, we can't risk going anywhere yet. She has lots of books to read and Gilmore Girls to watch so that's good. Thanks for all your prayers, please keep them coming. Erin sends her love, janet

James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
Much Love To You and Your Family,
Allen
ditto allen's message.
Erin, you are an inspiration to everyone with your faith. Stay strong in His word.

I know the numbers may be disappointing, but it was a huge encouragement to see Erin Sunday. Her smile makes me realize that things are never as bad as they seem. We are praying for you guys.
Love,
Stephen
Hello Miss Erin,
I'm not sure how your WBC count is related to your M&M intake, but in my professional opinion you should double-up on the M&M's. Along with any other sweets you enjoy, just to be sure the WBC's are properly fueled for reproduction. We don't want them going hungry.
I know you're disappointed in the low number, but in reading your Mom's entry I see good news. You get to hang out at home for six more days. She must really love you or she would have mentioned your bag in the trunk and left you there. Fat chance of that, right?
In the mean time, we'll be working on another form of medication, possibly involving cookies. And don't forget our motto and commitment to you. The Blessing-Moore-Butz Team is behind you all the way! ;) ;)
All Our Love and Prayers!
Dr. Ken.
Ditto the good Dr. Ken! I must go back to the lab and work on number crunching.
As always I enjoy the texting we do.
Love ya!

Hey Blonsteins,
I am so excited that you are home and enjoying your stay. I'm sorry about the blood counts but you are right God is in control! We are praying for you reguarly! The other night we almost forgot to pray for Erin, but Joseph said, "What about Erin?" Do you still have the prayer pager?
Psalm 55:22 "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. God is so faithful to his promises! Love and blessings. Brent B.
Erin,
It's Kristi, again, from the cohort you know. I just wanted to let you know that I read the blogs and pray for you every day. I know that you might wonder about the bigger plans, but I must let you know that the more I have been talking to God on your behalf, the more I have been talking to Him in general. I am also amazed and inspired by the faith you and your family are showing during this time of trial. This experience of hearing about you from afar (you weren't well enough for visitors when Joni, Lisa, and I came) has been something that I am learning from. I am inspired by you! I know that if you can continue to be so positive and praise God while fighting this off, that I can get through my own struggles and challenges. Thank you, Erin for that, because it has helped strengthen my own personal walk with God. I am sure that I am not the only one you are being used to reach, but I am thankful that I am at least one. I am sorry that you are having to face this trial, but I know and believe that the Lord will see you through! You are so strong!
Love,
Kristi
I pray the Holy Spirit's power gives you all an OVERFLOWING of hope, joy and peace as in Romans.
His Word will not return empty!

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Praying for those numbers to go up Erin. God will ALWAYS take care of you..
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of our compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles......" My prayer is that you feel the comfort of the Lord this day.
Lord, I pray for Erin's--mind, body and soul. Lift her spirits despite disappointing news. Provide peace where it seems crazy to exist. Help her to rest in you this week at home and prepare her for the next round of chemo. Prepare her for the trials that will come. I pray that you would show yourself constantly in every part of this journey. Sustain the Blonshines as they go through the ups and downs. Help them remain sure and steady in your open and comforting arms. You are doing something big in their lives, Lord. YOu have a plan that is better than anything we could imagine. This family gives it all to you. Thank you for their faith and willingness to share their story for your glory. Please heal Erin. Amen.

Look down the road past your situation now...envision how our Lord is going to use your testimony helping others who will then be enduring this same type situation.
Your sweet smile, your intense love of Christ and His love for you throughout all of your "sick time" is going to be a powerful witness for Him, His love and His grace for all his creation.
Those "strings" in our lives look "ratty" to us sometimes, but He weaves a beautiful tapestry for all to hear and see!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY, DARLIN'!!
