Monday 2/18

Blessings on you all for your continued prayers. We are excited this morning because the Dr just called and gave us some encouraging results from the bone marrow test last wed. He said her ANC went up to 212, it was 126 on the 6th. The percentage of Leukemia in her marrow had reduced from 20% to less than 1 %!!!! Isn't that a blessing?? It isn't remission yet but it seems like it will sure put her in a good position for this round of chemo. God is so faithful!! We check in tomorrow at 11:00 for labs and then hopefully there will be a bed available for Erin. She is at the top of the list for a bed but you know how hospitals are, they sometimes fill up. We are also hoping they were able to get genetic studies from the marrow but that will take another week to grow. Knowing the specific genetics may help them pinpoint the best therapy to use. I guess the prayer requests for the day include: peace of mind about starting chemo again, decreased side effects this time, and of course complete remission.
Thank you all so much for loving us through your prayers. We feel them and yes we still hear them through the prayer pager. You should have seen Laura jump this weekend every time the pager went off. She wasn't used to the sound like we are. It was so funny to see her jump! We love you all and are so thankful to have you on our team!! hugs, janet

Way to go Erin! We're so excited to hear your ANC number went up. Remission can't be far away! Keep on doing what you're doing. All that walking on the treadmill is wonderful. Be strong as you go back in the hospital tomorrow - The prayers will keep coming your way. We love you all!

Praise God, that is exactly what we prayed for last night at Open Prayer. You guys rock for keeping us in the loop so well and helping us know exactly how to pray. We will PRAY WITHOUT CEASING, I promise.
Love,
Sheri

Hello Miss Erin,

Great news again! And since you have to go back tomorrow, at least your numbers are up for a head start on the next round of chemo. And please, you've gotta hurry back. These Junior High kids need you. Mostly, the other counselors need you. We're outnumbered bad and need all the help we can get!

I donated more A Pos. blood for you yesterday. Who knows, maybe you'll get mine if you need more. Strange thought, isn't it?

In a previous post, you mentioned a "get away plan". You haven't forgotten the top secret code word, have you? All you have to do is get that word to me or Dr. Butz, then just lay back and listen for the chopper. We still think, even with the previous Security problem we encountered at Emory, that we can get you out quickly. We were more worried that you might want to escape from home. And while Emory Security is one thing, they don't worry us nearly as bad as the thought of trying to get you away from your Mom. That was going to be high risk. You know how she is... ;)

All Our Love and Prayers!
Dr. Ken and the Blessing-Moore-Butz Team... Behind you all the way!

Hi Erin! I'm so glad your ANC numbers went up! Hopefully that gives you a head start on round #2. We'll continue to pray for you as you go back to the hospital tomorrow. The sooner you start... the sooner you get to be done! "Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith." Hebrews 12:1-2.
We love you and all the Blonsteins (or is it Blonshine? I notice a lot of folks keep typing Blonshine. Why is that?) ; 0 )
Love, Stewie and Pam

YEAH! Thank you God! Know that you carry all of our thoughts and prayers back with you to Emory! Don't ever feel alone, for you certainly never are! I know that Amanda and Laura will have that place looking "homey" for you again soon. Hey, I'm not one to give advice (HA!), but if you come across any of that blood marked K.Moore...go ahead and enlist your "patient's rights" to say "no thanks"! Sleep well tonight tough girl! You've got this thing beat!
Much love and bunches of hugs,

Erin! That is some super news! God is so faithful in hearing and answering our prayers.

It was such a blessing to talk to you on the phone last night. It always is! You are a great, caring friend. Will and I are praying for your complete healing and for your strength as you head to the hospital tomorrow.

Mrs. Blonshine, thanks for continually providing us with specific prayer concerns.

Love, Brittany

Erin,
You CAN do this! The news gets better and better. You are strong and if you feel that you aren't, know how many people you have touched that are now passing on their courage and strength to you. Keep up the good fight and I'll continue to carry you in my thoughts and prayers.

Erin,

So you know usually I am writing silly, crazy posts to make you smile. However, as I read the post today (late today), all I can do is cry. I'm filled with so much emotion right now! I'm so very happy that your numbers are less than 1%! That's AWESOME! I'm sad that you have to go back tomorrow but confident you you will shine and kick this leukemia in the butt. As I read your mom's post today and everyone's comments all I could think about was the last time I visited you in the hospital. I told you that this year I was doing Relay For Life in your honor and that I would be proud and honored to walk with you or cheer you on from the side at Relay as you walk the survivor lap. It's in sight Erin! You are so close to it...to reaching that survivors lap and being in complete remission and done with this forever! God is there with you through it all and the angels in Heaven are about to erupt in song on the day the doctor walks in and says that lovely "R word"- R-E-M-I-S-S-I-O-N! I love you so much and you are so strong and courageous for enduring all of this. Do what Mrs. J said and walk in that hospital tomorrow with hands on your hips, the model walk/sas and show the leukemia who is boss! I will be up there with pom poms in hand whenever you need me to be. I will call you later this week to see how its going. Remember that with God, anything is possible!
Lotsa love,
Monica

I came across this verse this morning and I thought it would be a comfort to you today:
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
You all will not be alone today, If God is for you who can be against you! I'm praying for a ready bed and God's peace. Love ya bunches!

A SONG FOR THIS MORNINGS CHECK IN:

Give thanks to the Lord, Our God and King
His love endures forever
For He is good, He is above all things
His love endures forever
Sing praise, sing praise

With a mighty hand and outstretched arm
His love endures forever
For the life that's been reborn
His love endures forever
Sing praise, sing praise
Sing praise, sing praise

CHORUS:
Forever God is faithful
Forever God is strong
Forever God is with us
Forever and ever, forever (2X)

From the rising to the setting sun
His love endures forever
And by the grace of God we will carry on
His love endures forever
Sing praise, sing praise
Sing praise, sing praise

(CHORUS)

His love endures forever (8X)

Sing praise, sing praise
Sing praise, sing praise

There was a leap in my heart when I heard your numbers!
REST in the LORD, sweet Erin.
He's gonna zap it out this time!

In today's Upper Room reflection for Lent, this was the quote from
John Wesley in A LONGING FOR HOLINESS...

"The bottom of the soul may be in repose even while we are in many outward troubles, just as the bottom of the sea is calm, while the surface is strongly agitated."

May you have a deep-sea peace even while you are taking this treatment. LOL, XXXXX00000 always,
Ms. Susan ~: )

I just came across this verse in one of my bible studies...

"God blesses the people who patiently endure testing. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him."
James 1:12
I immediately thought of you Erin. Aaron and I prayed for you this morning. He is sick (again)...ear infection this time, I think. Anyway, as I was giving him medicine this morning, I noticed it was 9a.m. and thougt you would probably be in a car on your way to Decatur! We took that moment to pray for an excitement as you return to Emory to kick the last bit of this Lukemia into remission! God has a special crown awaiting you! I pray for your patience while enduring this test(s)...literally and figuratively!
Lots of love,
Kristie Chamlee
