last chemo day

Praise The Lord, Today is the last chemo day for this round. They just started the Mylotarg a few minutes ago. They had to premedicate her for this drug which worried her a bit. This drug is supposed to be a smart bomb. It only goes after the leukemia. Please pray for it to work well. After this we just wait for her counts to recover a bit so we can go home before the transplant. Erin slept well last night. They actually wrote an order for her not to be disturbed from 12-6. Why didn't we think of that before? Erin did her 21 laps yesterday with some crazy steps from Laura. Lunges, high marching steps, booty crunches etc. It was funny to see Bill doing the bunny hop. Laura entertained Erin yesterday with some Fourth of July toenail paint. Very stinky stuff but cute flags and fireworks. All in all, a good day. Thanks for the prayers, God is faithful in the details!!

"Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Prase the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed." Psalm 103: 1-6

Thanks a million for all the prayers!! We have the best prayer team around!!
Go team!! hugs, janet

Hey there,

I just read the blog so I guess the treatment is still going on or has just finished (I don't know how long it takes.) Anyway, I just want you to know that I'm sitting here praying Erin right now. I've been following the blog daily so I can be specific when I pray. I don't know if she knows who I am but tell her I'm praying anyway.

Blessings,
Jessica Arthur (Mary & Zach's mom)

Yeah for the last day of chemo! I am praying that each treatment will be powerful and effective. I am praying for the perfect donor. I am praying that Erin will have inexplicable strength and comfort and will avoid all of the nasty side effects from the treatments and drugs. And most of all, I am praying for a miracle.

Erin, love you girl. Happy 4th of July! I trust that you will be totally "free" from all of this very soon!

Hi Janet. I just wanted to let you know that I have been checking your blog nightly. It is my routine every night. I follow the blog check with a prayer for Erin, your family, you as the Mama (Mama's hold everything together), for a donor, for the team of Dr's, nurses, and techs, for a decrease in nausea, for a miracle that only our God can do. I lift you all to Him every night as many people are doing for you guys. I'm spreading the word and the Lord is hearing Erin's name many times...a miracle will come again. Love to you and your family, hugs to Erin.
