rough night

Dear Prayer Warriors,
Thanks for the prayers. Erin had a rough afternoon and night. The mylotarg they gave her yesterday came with a bunch of side effects that could potentially hit any time within the first 24 hours. So even though she did o.k. during the infusion, we weren't out of the woods. After lunch she was hit with a sudden powerful headache and huge stomach cramps. They were able to help the headache but the stomach ache lasted throughout the night. She said it was the worst night of her life. Yikes! But we are praising God this morning that she is feeling better! We are still hoping to go home soon, but we don't know exactly when. Her numbers bottomed out this morning. WBC are 0.3 which is as low as the machine can count. So her immune system is zero. We still welcome visitors, but don't come if you are sick or have been near anyone who is sick. Happy July! Please keep the prayers coming for a healthy and willing donor, few side effects, and
a spirit of hope for Erin. We love you all, janet

"Sing to the Lord, you saints of his; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." Psalm 30: 4-5

Yes, yes yes...Praise HIS HOLY NAME!!!!!!!....Keeping your eyes towards the Lord now, we know that in the weakness you feel in this moment, that HE...HE is strong......He is alpha and omega ...beginning and end...He is the lion of the tribe of judah...the bright and morning star...He is the great physician He is the river of life...His breath brings a smile to our faces and warms our hearts as He holds you through this walk....Find some fireworks on the tele this weekend to lift your spirits....have popcorn and sodas and ooohs...and aaaahs....as you watch the colors transform the darkness of the skies......know that we continue to pray for lessened side affects..for no pain...no stomach aches...no headaches...for laughter and joy......and plenty of sleep......we love you sweet sister...and know that GOD will provide the perfect donor......we just know it!!!!!......

I am on the marrow registry but would be happy to be tested to see if I am a specific match for Erin. Do you know what I need to do?

Hey Erin!
Sorry for the rough night last night. I still owe you that dollar, and I will get it to you soon. (: Still thinking about and praying for you every day. You are so brave, and I am praying for few-to-no side effects throughout each of your chemo rounds. You are so beautiful. Keep fighting!
Love,
Melissa

Hey Erin, Sorry about your rough night as well and praying that those side effects go away.

By the way I saw the sign at the Little Barn in Lawrenceville and it said "Pray for Erin". Of course, I had to stop and ask is this my Erin that you have up on the sign and they said it is the one and only. So everybody that passes the Little Barn will be saying a prayer for you. Isn't that awesome?

Take care and we're praying for you to get home soon.
