Thanks for checking in everyone, we value your prayers and encouragement. Amanda spent the night last night with Erin and said Erin was up every hour trying to leave the room. So at 3:30 a.m. they left and walked 3 laps. She has already walked 4 more. Now, as Brittany mentioned, it would seem that she feels good if she is walking, but actually, she is forcing herself beyond a normal person's limits. The nurses all comment that they get chills seeing her out of bed. She really is doing it only by the grace of God. Her pain pump is really high. If you know anything about Dilaudid, you will be surprised to hear she is on 1.2 mg/hr plus can push her button for 0.4mg more every 10 minutes. That's enough to put a horse into a coma. Yet she pushes through to do the walking. We are praising God this morning for another 2.5 lb fluid loss. Isn't God amazing?? Her numbers look pretty good except for her Bilirubin which is climbing a bit. She got platelets yesterday and this morning to keep them at a reasonable level. Erin is still only able to take small amounts of liquid, so Amanda made her a smoothie this morning and she drank a few sips of it. We use V8 Fusion and a banana and some of the protein powder they want her to drink. She says it's delicious. I guess the prayers requests are still the same, decreased ascites, decreased pain, protected organs, increased appetite and a working GI system so she can eat. Blessings on you, janet

Wow. I cannot even fathom the power she is receiving from the Holy Spirit to get through these days and hours and minutes. Thank God for pain pumps and wonderful sisters.

You are a living example of this verse. You continue to be in our prayers night and day. I am praying that you will run and not grow weary, that you will walk and not be faint and that God will indeed raise you up on eagles wings. How many miles of running is Amanda up to now?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA! And Happy Labor Day to you all! It does seem like the tide is turning in your favor Erin, and we are praising God for every little victory! As you are doing your laps picture us cheering you on, or better yet.....picture John Wayne riding his big horse beside you saying "come on little sister, you can do it"! Just be sure to step around anything his horse may leave behind. :) We love you bunches and wish we could be there beside you to help you through all this.

Erin, you are amazing, and an amazing testimony to the strength God gives us if we will receive it.

Labor Day celebrations behind us, we are ready for the week ahead...a week for more pounds to come off for you, Erin, and for a LARGE reduction in your pain and an increase in ability to eating.
Speaking of eating, the mosquitoes ate me tonight while we were sitting outside in the cooler weather...they always find me!

PRAISE GOD--GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME! I am crying so many happy tears for all of you. It is truly amazing to witness God's work through this blog. I can't even imagine how beautiful a sight it is to see sweet Erin trudging down the hall over and over. What a glorious witness to the doctors, nurses, and other patients. Blonshines, you are all icredible--I know you all feel exhausted and numb, but God's glory continues to shine through you all brighter than ever before. We are praying for everything you asked, and knowing that God will bless you with all that and more. We love you
