Day +18

Dear Prayer Warriors,
Thank you for stepping it up a notch. God has been faithful as always. Erin had a better night. She was awake alot pushing her button but her pain level was reduced significantly. She did not sit up and lay down alot like the previous nights. So we are praising God today!! Her first Dr, the one we feel most comfortable with, came by last night. She went over all the issues with us and labs etc. Erin actually does have VOD in a mild form. We have been so worried about VOD but it is not severe, and Erin is young, so hopefully she will turn around quickly. Her labs were the same today as yesterday, but not worse. We just need them to trend down and we need this ascites to reduce in volume so she can get comfortable. She is able to drink water and get into a chair but no walking right now. She is too shaky on all the pain meds. They gave her some steroids yesterday to reduce the swelling in her liver and gallbladder. It also helps with pain. We love steroids. I asked them to bring a bunch more. We need to "pump her up" so she can get out of here!! So those are our details for the morning. Thanks for checking in. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,". I'm thanking God for the gift of a better night with less pain. I'll be praying that each day the pain is less and Erin gets stronger as her body heals. Sorry we won't be able to visit soon, dumb swine....... flu! Let us know when you get the "all clear" from the Doctors. Love ya bunches! Aunt Deb

This is the verse the Father put on my heart to be praying for Erin and your family as you've been going through the battle this go around. Also, you guys come to mind each time I hear the song "You Are Able" by Christy Nockels on my i-pod.

Let Christ dwell in the hearts of her and her famiy as they trust you in faith! May they continually experience new heights and depths of the love of Christ...being filled with all the fullness of you, our magnificent God!

Lord, thank you for answering our prayers concerning Erin. Thank you for her kind and wise doctor. Thank you for her relief from pain.

I pray that you would strengthen her and heal her liver. Thank you for her young, strong body and for giving it the ability to withstand so much and mend so much. Your design is evident.

Give the Blonshines continued peace and hope in you. Thank you for sustaining them and providing for them.

I ask for healing for Erin and for all the many blessings that you have planned for her for which I could not even think to ask.

I am so proud of you. You are doing everything just right to get better soon. I can't imagine anyone else handling all this with as much courage, faith and grace as you show everyday.

So thankful that the pain has improved, but we won't let up a bit! We'll be like that persistent widow nagging that judge!!! But better, because it is for our Erin.

Hi Blonshines,
Janet, we so appreciate the updates so we know what to specifically ask for in prayer at that moment. I know that Erin is already strengthened with God's power through His spirit within her--according to the verse. Now I am praying for the physical deterants to be taken away and allow God's power to shine through BIG & STRONG. God, take away the swelling, the pain, and foggyness from medication so Erin can sit right up, ask to play cards, take her walk, and eat a good lunch. Lord, we are awaiting your glory--and we don't wait very patiently. Please comfort everyone waiting with Erin and most especially comfort and reassure Erin, Janet, Bill, Amanda, and Laura. We know you are working, and providing more than we ask and even magine. Thank you for your unending love!!

I would never dream of bringing my germ infested crew in...but know that we have been hugging you from a distance throughout your entire journey! We love you guys and pray for you nightly! Actually, it's the kids who usually include Erin in their prayers first...how much closer to God could your prayers get, then to come straight from the mouths of children! Thank you for your committment to keep us posted and let us know what to pray for. You're never alone! We love you guys...
