Sat +35

Happy Rainy Saturday Prayer Warriors,
Thanks for praying for Erin, she had a good night. No big plans for today, which is great. We are so happy to just sit at home and play games and watch endless (did I say endless?) hours of Food Network. Erin falls asleep with that channel on every night and I go up in the middle of the night to give her pain pills and the T.V. is still on. I hope she turns into a great cook by absorbing all that info subliminally. It would be nice if one of us could cook. We have been blessed by the ladies at our church cooking wonderful meals for us over the course of all our hospitilizations. God blessed us with great cooks at our church. I think it is a prerequisite to Methodism.
Thanks again for the prayers for decreased pain, decreased nausea, increased energy and total healing. You are so dear to us for interceding on Erin's behalf. To God be the glory. hugs, janet

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." Romans 8: 26-27

i watch food network when home alone...when family's here, it's usually football or NCIS.

Ellie Krieger, a registered dietitian specializing in nutrition and health communications, is my favorite food network host on HEALTHY APPETITE.
Real advice about food without any of the gimmicks and crash diets that permeate today's news.
She graduated from Cornell University and got her master's in nutrition education from Columbia University.

She has a good book, too: a New York Times best-selling book no less...The Food You Crave: Luscious Recipes for a Healthy Life (Taunton Press, 2008)...it has over 200 recipes covering every meal and every craving.

Have a great RAINY DAY! After a quick trip to the grocery store, I'm knitting :)

It's a good thing that "No Reservations" with Anthony Bourdain isn't on the Food Network. Erin, if you haven't seen his show, now is not the time to start. The stuff he eats would do nothing to improve your appetite. No donuts for this guy, unless they're draped in lizard gizzards...

Hi Erin and the whole Blonshine crew! Thank goodness for cable tv! I have become quite the fan of the cake decorating shows myself. Too cool. Although, if I created some of those cakes, I wouldn't let anyone near them with a fork! We're just gonna sit here and admire them!

We are continuing to pray for decreased pain and increased strength for you, Erin! And, Janet & Bill we're praying for continued strength for you as well.

A friend of mine posted this verse on her facebook page today and I thought of each of you:

"So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2Corinthians 4:18.

By the way, while we were packing for a trip last weekend, Ken called me into the room. Pointing in disgust at my suitcase he said, "What is this? This is the work of a Blonshine!" And, of course you know he was pointing at... a little smidge of glittery confetti tucked into the corner of my suitcase!! I laughed and said, "That's definitely Janet's handy work!!!"
Whenever Erin is ready for a little cheerful glittery fun, let me know! I can come and share a little of my own handy work!
Love you all!
Pam

Hey Sweet girl, sorry I haven't written in a few days, we are up in WI on a trip without kids. Even though we are in Chicago tonight, we are watching the UGA game--and they aren't even our team. See what an influence you Blonshines have on all of us
I'm still praying for all of you--glad for rainy days cuz you don't mind staying in the house as much.
Got another suggestion for your list of things to do. . . how about you cooking dinner for all of us using all those good tips you are learning. I'm sure that red mixer would like to get a work out. We love you!
