Hey all,
Thanks for being our prayer warriors. Erin did get to go shopping yesterday but had to sit down in every store. She did great until we got home and then it went south. The rest of the evening was o.k. but it definitely took all her energy to go out of the house. Today is having a questionable start. She is nauseous and taking it slow. I really thought we would have a gradual recovery from this nausea but it just seems to be hanging on. We are now going to start weaning her Oxycontin which is a long acting pain reliever. Maybe it is contributing to her nausea. Please pray for it to let up. Nausea is miserable, especially for months on end!! All you Moms out there can give us an AMEN on that I am sure! The praise with nausea is that as soon as you let it out, you feel better for a while. Small comfort but you have to find something good in everything! Blessings on your day! love, janet

Since Janet brings up the spector of moms and nausea, I'd like to opine, due to having been nauseous for nine of the nine and half months I was pregnant with Maggie, throwing up for the last time in the delivery room, and thus feel somewhat encouraged to opine, that bland foods aren't necessarily all that great. During my siege, I couldn't keep down bland food. I had my best luck with bacon and with chili and with coffee. tea? toast? fuggedaboudit!
you're probably in heart failure reading that, but God knows I'm telling the truth.
Seeing the two of you out shopping made my day! I hope you found the perfect pair of boots...and I hope you can get out and enjoy the sunshine this weekend.
Go Dawgs (please!)

Glad you got out...and we promise to continue with persistent prayers! So sorry that this continues for you...

I know you're avoiding meat but some things just cry out for chicken soup.
mmmm, broth and pastina, with teeny slivers of carrot and bits of oregano and a piece of crusty bread on the side. mmmm, tortilla soup, with luxurious avocado slices and crunchy tortilla strips tossed on top. mmmm, a big jar of your jewish mama's fragrant chicken soup...that's all i'm sayin'.
can you tell i'm from an eating culture?
sending calming prayers for you and your tummy
i'm sorry you've been so sick
