Thurs 5/29

Hello Prayer Warriors, Thanks for checking in with us. Erin still has a pretty bad stomach ache. She says everything tastes the same..like dirt. I guess that is common with chemo patients. It doesn't keep her from beating us all at Backgammon though, or at least trying. She is getting a lot of reading done also. She is on top of her summer reading assignment so I hope all you Peachtree Ridge students are too. She can't wait to get back to her normal life. The countdown is now 44 days until she should feel normal after her last chemo and have her central line out. Talk about goals, this girl has big ones. No pressure but she has things to do, places to go and people to see. She may never want to sit at home again! And I don't blame her! Thanks as always for the prayers for her healing and recovery. I think the one thing she has on her heart now is that her organs would be protected from any long term damage due to the chemo. It is hardest on the liver and kidneys, but can also effect the heart and brain. Please join us in praying for protection from these side effects. Love to all, janet

Hi Erin-nano,

Been thinking about you this week as you've gone through the next to last chemo. It seems like it's been tough, but I know how you are so strong. Reading about your goals makes me smile. I can't imagine what you've got planned, but I know it's going to be amazing. Keep focused on that as you count down the days. Know that even these final rounds are somehow part of God's plan, shaping you and preparing you--not to mention, ensuring you stay cancer free. That is my prayer and will remain my prayer!

Love, Brittany

Hello Erin,

So sorry to hear about your continued stomach ache. Sometimes I wish things tasted like dirt so I wouldn't eat as much, but I know it would drive me crazy in no time. I will pray for beautiful, bumpy, juicy taste buds that work the way God meant them to be!

So now you're the Backgammon Queen... hmmm, I'm thinking of a Blonshine Backgammon Tournament for the Youth Group, but maybe a lesson for everyone first! YOU will have to be the instructor of that, so start making your lesson.

You're on the short row now with 44 days, (I know it must sound like an eternity to you) so keep hangin' tough and we'll keep praying for your endurance, patience, strength (for your whole family) and for non-effected organs.

We love you, Erin Blonshine!!

Got it covered Aunt Janet! A while ago I started praying that Erin would be protected from the long term bad side effects of chemo, but we need to continue to be persistent in our prayers.
"As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me.
Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud and He shall hear my voice.
He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, for there were many against me." Psalm 55:16-18
How perfect is His word!! Love ya bunches! Aunt Debbie

Praying for the stomach ache to subside and that your taste buds will eventually return to normal so that the only thing that tastes like dirt is dirt itself and that french fries, potato chips, and pizza will have their respective tastes.

Praying that your organs have been protected from chemo damage, that you are enjoying your "down" time at home with your books and family, and that the 44 days will come and go so that you can get back to the life that you know and love so much! I am sure the PRHS students are anxiously awaiting your arrival onto campus in August and what a blessing that will be for you and for them!

Keep the faith up Erin -- you are almost there! We are here praying for you and cheering you on to the finish!

Love and Blessings,
