Thurs 5/1

Happy May Day everyone, Erin and I just got back from the clinic. Her labs were low as expected, so she received one unit of platelets and 2 units of blood. Thanks again to you life savers out there who give and give! Erin usually gets hives from transfusions so she is sleeping off her Benadryl right now. Other than all that, Erin is fine. She is hoping to be on the upswing by Relay for Life on May 9th. I know she really wants to walk the survivor lap. I don't know if there are enough tissues to cover that sight! Round 4 should start the week after that. We are so thankful for all of you cheering Erin on as she perseveres. It is definitely a tough road to walk.

"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8

Hope your May day is full of colorful ribbons! hugs, janet

Hello Miss Erin:

Good to see things are progressing well. Dr. Butz and I talked about you today over lunch. We would've made a house call but thought you were out seeing those "needle-using" doctors.

Did you check the blood bags? Dr. Butz and I both give, so who knows?? If you start growing taller or grow a beard soon, you might suspect one of us. Scared again, aren't you.

Can't wait to get you back around the group. It's never the same without you and we need all the help we can get.

All Our Love and Prayers!

Just wanted to drop a line and let you know I'm still praying for you guys! Y'all are such troopers! Praying that you'll be able to walk the survivor lap (that would be INCREDIBLE) and that your symptoms will subside.

Erin:

Praying that we will see Erin walk the survivor lap at RLF next week! I will be sure to bring a family size box of tissues! But perhaps I should bring 2 or 3 --

Praying for a weekend full or rest and relaxation as well as peace and comfort!

You are in the home stretch kiddo! Keep the faith! Pretty soon you will be turning cartwheels among the students at PRHS!

God Bless!

Peace and Grace,
The Cotners

Erin:

Thought you might find these scriptures of encourgagement helpful -- I took a few minutes from my work day to check email and these scriptures came across from Encouragement for Today from crosswalk.com

2 Timothy 1:7, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." (NIV)

Proverbs 3:25-26, "Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared." (NIV)

Psalm 36:5, "Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies." (NIV)

Blessings,
The Cotners

Dear Janet and Bill,
I just heard about Erin this morning when Alex Ford ran across your blog. I'm so sorry she and you are going through this. What a blessing for Erin to have such wonderful, loving, and supportive parents. I would love to call and talk with you sometime. Is there a good time to call? You all are in my prayers! Love, Susie Batten
