Hello family and friends,
Thanks for all your love and prayers. Erin is doing very well. We just got back from Lake Burton. You see, one of Erin's goals while in the hospital was to get back to normal activities like swimming and skiing. Uncle Jim actually blew up a photo of Erin skiing into a big poster and hung it on her wall for the last chemo round. Well, God fulfilled her wish today. She was up on skis this morning with the biggest smile!! I was crying like a baby!! She loved it! The weather was perfect and the water was cold. What a victory over cancer!! She can't wait to tell her Dr. He always smiled a little hesitantly when she said that was her goal. I guess he has never been skiing on Lake Burton. It's a little piece of heaven!! So, celebrate with us, another dream realized!!
The first week of school with students went very well. Again, a big thank you to the teachers Erin works with. They are probably all shuddering at my ending a sentence with a preposition. Sorry! The kids were good or at least on their best behavior for now. Erin was exhausted, as you can imagine. However, she was very thankful to be back in the swing of things. God has answered every prayer. His timing has always been perfect! We are humbled by the series of "God sightings" we have experienced throughout this ordeal. The miracles we have seen in the details and the love and support we have seen in all of you. Thank you again and again.
"Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." Psalm 103:1-5
This was my reading from Believing God by Beth Moore this morning. Again, God leads me to the exact scripture that fits my day. WOW!! love, janet

Erin and Janet:
Sorry to have been so behind in my posts but with my major surgery taking place on July 24th with 5 days in the hospital, I have not had much strength to do much in term of coming out to the blog. I have gotten myself out here today - FINALLY and have read the posts from the last several weeks and now I feel like I am up to speed.
What a grand victory for Erin --- reaching her goals as she hoped and planned --- water skiing among all of them -- how wonderful! I am also glad to hear that her team of teachers continues to give her the support that she needs and that her students have also been so great!
You have proven the scripture that states that ALL things are possible through Him.
Many More Blessings and Much Love,
The Cotner's
