Monday 6/9

Dear Prayer Warriors, Thank you for your prayers. Please keep them coming. We are in need of some Divine intervention. Erin has developed a bacterial infection in her blood and urine. They have a partial indentification but are waiting on specifics. We hope to know later today. At the least it will require 2 weeks of IV antibiotics, maybe more. They don't know where she got it, although the hospital is the likely place. Please pray that it is not a superbug and that she will get well soon so she can stay on schedule for her last chemo round. God is so much bigger than some creepy bacteria and I know He is watching over his little angel! Please pray that Erin will have the strength to fight everything. Her fever goes up and down but doesn't really go away. Her stomach is cramping so bad and her head is pounding, so she stays on pain medicine around the clock. She tries to eat but usually throws it all up afterward. She has been a real trouper with the bucket-o-pills they constantly bring in, but she is over it. Thank you for your prayers. We couldn't do it without you all! love, Janet

"Preserve my life according to your love, and I will obey the statutes of your mouth. Your word O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures. I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life. Save me, for I am yours." Psalm 119:88-90, 93-94

I so hurt for you, Erin, may God quickly ease your pain and discomfort...hearing of your suffering in this way puts tears in my eyes and my stomach hurts.

I hurt for you, Janet knowing you're compassionately taking on her pain--when our babies hurt, we hurt, down to our souls!

Jesus is hurting with you and interceding to the Father...we will continue praying His healing will come quickly.

2Cor 1:3-7
Praise be to the God...God of all comfort,...comforts us in all our troubles.... For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows...
And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
Susan

We will pray for you without ceasing until this bug goes away. We will pray that you can begin to keep you food down in order to nourish your body. We will pray that God will use this time in you life to show you something incredible about himself. We will pray...

manuka honey is an amazing honey...it kills multiple bacteria...staph and h.pylori to mention two...it's raw honey from New Zealand, harvested from the tea tree pollen.

I'm a believer...it has helped me tremendously with my followup cancer regimine. Just some info for thought...I buy it online through amazon.com.

I haven't posted for a few days but we have continued to pray for you daily Erin....God keeps you constantly in our minds and hearts and prayers. I am so sorry you are having to fight this infection, but your mom is right, God is way bigger than this bug and we are comforted in knowing he will see you through. We love you!

Erin B. my prayers for you are constant. We're still fighting with you, you're never alone. I love you and miss you. When you get better we're having a major dance party with d's mom's cake (if she won't make it for you, I'll break in and steal the recipe and make it myself). Our God is good He heals. We serve the same God that raised Lazarus, infections he's got covered!

Hello Miss Erin:

I'm so sorry to know you don't feel well. We didn't see this infection thing coming. We might need to change the M&M blend, or possibly add another drug/candy to the mix. In the interim, Susan's suggestion of honey should work well with M&M's.

However, in the end, since this an internal issue and not external, I lay most of the blame on my partner, Dr. Butz. You know I'm mostly an "outside the body" Doctor...Ticks, and so forth. Dr. Butz is the "inside" man... looking for whatever it is he looks for on the inside. We'll get him refocused on the next treatment plan.

And as for P/A Blessing, she's our inner spiritual person. We count on her for the continual prayer part. Of which she is properly qualified. Surely, with the three of us working together, this bacteria will get scared and move on... and the sooner the better.

All Our Love and Prayers!
Dr. Ken and the
Blessing-Moore-Butz Team.

Oh God...kick this bug away. Lower Erin's fever. Help her feel better. Through the pain, provide peace. This girl has been through one long journey. I pray that you would heal her body from the infection today, so that she would be able to stay on track. She is a teacher that needs to get back to teaching. A young woman that needs to get back to living like a young woman--enjoying friends and family. We do not understand the struggles but we know you are in control. We praise you for keeping us in your hands and carrying us. But, you tell us to ask you for anything in your Son's name. And, I do. We do. We are asking for healing and home and finishing up chemo soon. Thank you for caring and for answering.

Love, Brittany

Good and Gracious Father,

Please continue to give Erin the strength that she needs to fight off this infection and please ensure that the antibiotics that she has been given will work to ward off the present virus and any potential future virus that would deter her chemo schedule. We love her so much as you do so please continue to give her strength as well as to take away her pain and instead give her rest and peace and comfort! We ask of this in your Son's holy and precious name. Amen.

Erin,
We continue to raise you and your family in prayer each week as well as daily. We are continuing to pray for rapid healing of this infection and for the pain and nausea to fade so that you may have peace and comfort.

Love and Grace,
The Cotner's
